Competition is becoming increasingly fierce! Alphabet Inc. Class C (GOOGL.US) is promoting its latest AI search product through a "golden" layout.

Alphabet Inc. Class C's "Google Doodle" is the most valuable layout resource for Alphabet (GOOGL.US), and on Tuesday, the company used this position to promote its latest AI search product - AI Mode. An animated image is displayed on the start page of the Alphabet Inc. Class C Chrome browser and on the Alphabet Inc. Class C homepage, which when clicked on guides users to the AI Mode page, the company's latest search product. The doodle image also includes a share button. Promoting AI Mode on the "Google Doodle" comes as this tech giant strives to expose more users to its latest AI features, as it faces competition pressure from several AI startups including OpenAI developing ChatGPT, Anthropic launching Claude, and Perplexity AI claiming to be an "AI-driven answer engine." AI Mode is a conversational experience launched by Alphabet Inc. Class C for complex user queries. Since March, the company has been displaying AI Mode next to its search results page. Upon clicking into it from the homepage, the product description reads: "Search any question you care about and get an AI-driven response." Support for AI Mode is provided by Alphabet Inc. Class C's flagship AI model Gemini, and since its release, the tool has been rolled out to more American users. Users can ask questions to AI Mode through text, voice, or images. Alphabet Inc. Class C states that AI Mode makes it easier for users to get answers to complex questions that may have required multiple searches in the past. In May of this year, Alphabet Inc. Class C tested displaying the AI Mode feature directly below the search bar, replacing the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button - which is one of the few elements on Alphabet Inc. Class C's page that rarely changes.
