JD HEALTH (06618) announced its performance in 2024, with revenue of approximately RMB 58.16 billion, a year-on-year growth of 8.6%; gross profit of approximately RMB 13.3086 billion, a year-on-year growth of 12.2%; net profit attributable to owners of the company of approximately RMB 4.162 billion, a year-on-year growth of 94.31%; and earnings per share of RMB 1.32. As of December 31, 2024, the number of active users reached 183.6 million, and the daily average online consultation volume in 2024 exceeded 490,000.
The announcement stated that the growth in total revenue was mainly due to the increase in revenue from the sales of pharmaceutical and health products, which increased by 6.9% from RMB 45.7 billion in 2023 to RMB 48.8 billion in 2024. The growth in product revenue was mainly driven by the increase in active users, additional purchases by users, the continuous improvement of online penetration rate of pharmaceutical and health product sales, and the enrichment of product categories.
Revenue from online platforms, digital marketing, and other services increased by 18.9% from RMB 7.9 billion in 2023 to RMB 9.4 billion in 2024. The growth in service revenue was mainly due to the increase in digital marketing service fees, attributed to the increase in the number of advertisers on the platform, which is consistent with the continuous growth in transactions on the platform.
JD HEALTH continued to strengthen its self-operated advantages and enhance the competitiveness of its online platform and instant retail business. In 2024, the number of third-party merchants exceeded 100,000, deepening cooperation with many global pharmaceutical companies in new drug launches, omni-channel expansion, etc., and launching nearly 30 new special drugs online. At the same time, strategic cooperation agreements were signed with multiple brands, and a standard system for nourishment and nutrition products was released. The average daily online consultation volume of internet hospitals exceeded 490,000, with a focus on strengthening the construction of specialty capabilities and cooperating with multiple medical institutions. Furthermore, services such as at-home quick tests and in-home medical care projects were expanded, providing users with a one-stop medical service experience. In the field of smart healthcare and digital health, multiple service products were introduced based on a large medical model, promoting the application of the large medical model in various scenarios.
