CHINASILVER TEC (00515) announced its second interim financial results for the 12 months ending December 31, 2024. The group achieved a turnover of HK$40.34 million, with a loss attributable to owners of the company of HK$52.879 million, resulting in a loss per share of 5.55 HK cents.
For many years, the PCB business has been the main source of income for the group. During the review period, the group's turnover was approximately HK$40.30 million, a decrease of 84.6% from the same period last year of approximately HK$262 million, mainly due to a decrease in sales of PCB products. The loss attributable to shareholders increased to approximately HK$52.90 million (2023: HK$31 million), mainly due to a decrease in turnover and gross profit, an increase in financing costs, partially offset by a decrease in selling and distribution expenses and administrative expenses. The gross profit margin for the 12 months ending December 31, 2024, was approximately 5.7% (2023: 7.6%).
