HXTL (01085) has announced that recently, the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China and eight other departments jointly issued the "Green Technology Promotion Catalog (2024 Edition)." The company's subsidiary Zhongguang New Energy's 50MW molten salt energy storage and solar thermal project in Delingha, Qinghai Province, which is fully owned, has been successfully included in the catalog as a benchmark application case. The catalog selected 112 advanced green technologies in seven major industries including energy conservation and carbon reduction, environmental protection, and resource recycling, listing the technological content, main technical parameters, actual application cases, and ecological benefits of each technology. Among them, the "large-scale molten salt energy storage technology" was selected for the promotion catalog of the "energy green and low-carbon transformation" industry. The Delingha 50MW project's molten salt energy storage and solar thermal project is a benchmark case of this technology application. The Delingha 50MW project has a 7-hour molten salt energy storage system, with a designed annual power generation of 146 million kWh, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of over 80,000 households. It can save 46,000 tons of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 121,000 tons, with good economic and social benefits.
The announcement stated that the release of the catalog injects new policy momentum into the promotion of molten salt energy storage technology, which is beneficial for the long-term development of the group.
