WEIHAI BANK (09677) announced that they have obtained the approval of the Shandong Regulatory Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission regarding the change of name of Weihai City Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. (Approval No. Lu Jin Fu [2025] 60). The Shandong Regulatory Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission has approved the change of the full name of the bank to "WEIHAI BANK Co., Ltd." (Chinese name) and "WEIHAI BANK CO., LTD." (English name), with the abbreviation changed to "WEIHAI BANK" (Chinese name) and "WEI HAI BANK" (English name). The approval also includes the change of names of the bank's branch offices.
On February 26, 2025, the bank has completed the registration and filing procedures for the change of company name with the Chinese company registration authorities and has been issued a new business license. The bank's name has been changed from "Weihai City Commercial Bank Co., Ltd." to "WEIHAI BANK Co., Ltd.", while the other contents of the business license remain unchanged.
