Hong Kong officially released the HKGAI V1 artificial intelligence large model.
On February 25th, the Hong Kong R&D Centre for Artificial Intelligence (R&D Centre) funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's key innovation and technology project "InnoHK - Hong Kong Research Cluster" officially released the HKGAI V1 large-scale model. This is Hong Kong's first artificial intelligence large-scale model, marking a new chapter in the development of artificial intelligence in Hong Kong.
On February 25th, the Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Center, funded by the Hong Kong SAR Government's key innovation and technology project "InnoHK - Research Platform in Hong Kong", officially released the HKGAI V1 large model. This is Hong Kong's first large artificial intelligence model, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the development of artificial intelligence in Hong Kong.
The head of the Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Center explained that this is the industry's first large model based on DeepSeek full parameter fine-tuning and continuous training. This innovative achievement signifies the successful localization of DeepSeek in Hong Kong for the first time by HKGAI, injecting new vitality into the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem in Hong Kong and fully demonstrating the strong collaborative innovation capability between Hong Kong and mainland China in the field of artificial intelligence.
Professor Sun Tong, Director of the Innovation and Technology Bureau of Hong Kong, stated that the launch of DeepSeek earlier this year was truly groundbreaking. The team at the research and development center quickly integrated the perfect base model architecture of DeepSeek with the outstanding data processing capabilities of the HKGAI model to achieve the strong launch of HKGAI V1 today.
Artificial intelligence is leading a new wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation. The Hong Kong SAR Government has actively responded by establishing an artificial intelligence supercomputing center, launching a 30 billion artificial intelligence funding program, and currently attracting over 800 artificial intelligence companies in the Science Park and Cyberport alone. Many talents and businesses are now gathering in Hong Kong.
