CLP Holdings (00002) announced that Edington will retire as an independent non-executive director of the company and member of the Finance and General Affairs Committee on May 9, 2025.

HSBC Holdings (00005) plans to issue $1.5 billion of perpetual subordinated or convertible securities.

"OpenAI competitor" Anthropic is currently in talks for a new round of funding of $3.5 billion, with a valuation reaching $61.5 billion.
