Weyangxing(WRD.US) launched the new mass-produced Robotaxi GXR in Beijing for pure unmanned commercial operation.

On February 24th, the new generation mass-produced Robotaxi GXR of the autonomous driving technology company WeRide (WRD.US) was officially approved to provide "no driver inside" autonomous driving travel charging services in Beijing, covering the core area of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, including important locations such as the city's high-speed rail stations. GXR is the second pure unmanned commercial Robotaxi model deployed by WeRide in Beijing, and it is also the first large-scale pure unmanned commercial application in China, following its launch on the Uber platform in Abu Dhabi last December. In addition to city roads, WeRide's GXR is also approved to operate commercially on high-speed road segments covering locations such as Beijing Daxing International Airport. On October 15, 2024, WeRide officially released the new generation mass-produced Robotaixi model - GXR. Just 4 months later, the company quickly progressed from new product release to full unmanned commercial operation, once again demonstrating the "WeRide speed" of commercial Robotaxi implementation to the industry.
