HOWKINGTECH (02440) announced that Chunsheng Financing Limited (a licensed corporation regulated under Type 1 (securities trading) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance) has been appointed as the independent financial adviser to provide recommendations to the independent board of directors on whether the takeover bid and share repurchase offer are fair and reasonable, as well as on the acceptance of the takeover bid and share repurchase offer. The appointment has been approved by the independent board of directors in accordance with Rule 2.1 of the Takeover Code.
