Q TECH (01478) announced that in January 2025, the sales volume of mobile camera modules was approximately 34.69 million units, representing a 13.4% increase month-on-month and a 10.8% decrease year-on-year. The total sales volume of camera modules was 35.89 million units, marking a 12.3% increase month-on-month and a 10.2% decrease year-on-year. The sales volume of fingerprint recognition modules totaled 16.67 million units, showing an 18.2% decrease month-on-month and a 41.5% growth year-on-year.
The month-on-month increase in camera module sales was mainly due to customer project cycle factors, while the year-on-year decrease was mainly because the company continued to focus on a product strategy centered on mid-to-high-end products, reducing the involvement in projects for camera modules below 32 million pixels.
The decrease in sales volume of fingerprint recognition modules month-on-month was mainly due to customer project cycles, while the growth year-on-year was primarily due to the company's ultrasonic fingerprint recognition module projects gradually entering large-scale production and the increase in market share in the fingerprint recognition module business.
