Beijing Beilu Pharmaceutical (300016.SZ) announced that the company has received the "Drug Registration Certificate" for the approval and issuance of Xijia silicone emulsion from the National Medical Products Administration. The announcement indicates that Xijia silicone emulsion is an oral nanoemulsion developed by Berlin Chemie AG, Germany, commonly used in clinical practice as a defoamer. It is indicated for treating discomfort symptoms caused by excessive gas accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract, such as bloating, and can also be used postoperatively. Additionally, it can be used as an adjuvant for abdominal imaging examinations (e.g. X-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopy) and as an additive for contrast agent suspensions used for double contrast imaging.
