SHENGHUI CLEAN (02521) announced on January 23, 2025, that the company, through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, has started the development of the Baishi Shenghui Circular Economy Industrial Demonstration Park in Panyu, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 21 acres (equivalent to approximately 14,000 square meters).
Given the Group's future plans to extend its cleaning and maintenance services to the environmental, social, and governance sectors, and to strengthen its waste recycling business, the demonstration park is intended to provide a demonstration platform to industry participants nationwide, establishing a comprehensive recycling cycle from waste recovery to low carbon emission recycled materials. Waste will mainly come from collected paper waste (including packaging materials, used food paper boxes, paper cups, tissues, and wood boards), organic waste (including coffee grounds, used tea leaves, and agricultural and forestry straw resources collected from pruning grass and trees), and other plant waste collected from the Group's daily cleaning and maintenance operations. The Group will then utilize the recycling technology of its strategic partner, Shenzhen Best Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (Best), to process these wastes into environmentally-friendly pulp, paper boxes, green packaging, environmental boards, and organic fertilizers. The demonstration park will include production lines primarily powered by CECEP Solar Energy. As of the date of this announcement, the Group is continuing to install relevant equipment, including waste processing equipment jointly developed with Best, and the demonstration park is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2025.
Best is listed on the New Third Board (stock code: 833204). Best, together with its subsidiaries, is mainly engaged in recycling waste materials to manufacture packaging materials, as well as designing, manufacturing, and selling environmentally friendly biodegradable materials. As of the date of this announcement, the company holds approximately 19.5% of the total issued shares of Best.
