The silicon industry branch issued a document this week stating that the transaction price of polysilicon remained stable. The transaction price range of N-type recycled material is between 3.90-4.50 yuan/ton, with an average transaction price of 4.17 yuan/ton. The transaction price range of N-type granular silicon is between 3.80-4.10 yuan/ton, with an average transaction price of 3.90 yuan/ton. The transaction price range of P-type polysilicon is between 3.20-3.60 yuan/ton, with an average transaction price of 3.40 yuan/ton.
There were few new contract signers for polysilicon this week, with about 3 companies completing transactions for N-type silicon materials, most of them being spot transactions. Approaching the year-end, companies have basically completed orders before the year-end, and are currently executing previous orders and delivering goods as usual. At the moment, most polysilicon companies are mainly focusing on stabilizing prices, with a few spot transactions showing extremely high prices, but the industry average price remains relatively stable. The main reason for the stable price of polysilicon is the end of year-end stocking and limited transactions by companies. In addition, the listing of polysilicon futures in the past month has led to a resonance in spot prices and market prices, greatly stabilizing the price confidence of companies, and increasing the willingness of leading companies to participate in futures trading. With the steady progress of self-discipline in the polysilicon industry and the consumption of downstream raw materials stockpiling during the Spring Festival, polysilicon prices are expected to continue to rise to a relatively reasonable range after the New Year.
According to statistics, the majority of polysilicon companies in China are currently in a state of reducing production load, with a few companies gradually increasing production within a reasonable range, and the overall output still maintained at around 90,000 tons. In December 2024, China's polysilicon imports were 3,274.6 tons, an increase of approximately 18.10% compared to the previous month. Polysilicon exports were 5,765.07 tons, an increase of 46.01% compared to the previous month. In the whole year of 2024, China's total polysilicon imports were 39,800 tons, and total exports were 40,000 tons, with exports exceeding imports by approximately 202 tons for the year.
