Mongol Mining (00975) announced that in the quarter ending December 31, 2024, the total raw coal production at the UHG and BN mines of the group amounted to 3,684.5 thousand tons, representing a 20% year-on-year increase compared to the same period ending December 31, 2023, and a 14% decrease compared to the previous quarter ending September 30, 2024. The group processed a total of 3,947.8 thousand tons of coking coal to produce 2,085.6 thousand tons of washed coking coal products, representing a 22% year-on-year increase and an 8% increase compared to the previous quarter. In the quarter ending December 31, 2024, the group sold a total of 1,886.1 thousand tons of washed coking coal products, representing an 8% year-on-year increase and a 7% decrease compared to the previous quarter. In 2024, the group sold a total of 7,882.1 thousand tons of washed coking coal products, including 4,728.3 thousand tons of washed hard coking coal, 448.9 thousand tons of washed semi-soft coking coal, and 2,704.9 thousand tons of washed medium-ash semi-hard coking coal. Therefore, hard coking coal, semi-soft coking coal, and medium-ash semi-hard coking coal accounted for 60%, 6%, and 34% of the total washed coal product mix. In the quarter ending December 31, 2024, the group continued with project development to advance the construction works at the BKH mine. According to the latest feasibility study prepared in 2023 in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (NI 43-101), the expected total production from the mine includes 476 thousand ounces of extracted gold and 121 thousand ounces of extracted silver. As of December 31, 2024, construction and installation works at the processing plant were about 67.0% complete. Additionally, the group has started using an integrated waste management facility and continues to progress with the construction of non-processing facilities including dormitories, workshops, warehouses, and laboratories. In the third quarter of 2024, EM completed a six-hole diamond drilling program with a total depth of 950 meters to test the potential of extending near-mine resources to the west and north beyond the current designed boundaries of the BKH mine pit (as defined in the 2023 feasibility study). The results of this extension drilling, combined with the completion of a 13,500 meters infill drilling program by the end of the quarter ending December 31, 2024, will provide the necessary geological data for the further refinement and update of the medium to long-term production plan at the BKH mine.
