Real estate private equity fund management company KeyHub Capital announced today that it has acquired 45% of the shares of Agility Asset Advisers Inc. This strategic partnership with Agility Asset Advisers further enhances KeyHub Capital's corporate image and reputation in the Japanese real estate market, strengthens its ability to discover investment projects and manage assets, and opens up new avenues for the company to obtain low-cost Japanese capital and long-term funds.
Agility Asset Advisers was established in 2005 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agility Holdings Inc. (AH) and has been an important member of the Singapore-based Reliance Capital Group since January 2016. Over the years, Agility Asset Advisers has laid a solid foundation in managing domestic real estate for institutional investors in Japan.
According to the cooperation agreement, subsidiaries of KeyHub Capital and affiliated companies of Reliance Capital each hold 45% of the shares of Agility Asset Advisers. The remaining 10% is held by Mutual Links Corporation (ML), with Agility Asset Advisers' founder and CEO, Shinji Higashimaru, as the majority shareholder.
Shinji Higashimaru will continue to serve as President of Agility Asset Advisers to ensure continuity and stability in the company's management.
Roland Lulin, Managing Director of KeyHub Capital, Investment Partner, and Head of the Japan region, expressed confidence in the collaboration with Agility Asset Advisers, believing that by redesigning and repositioning real estate projects that have not fully realized their opportunities, they can further drive business growth, explore new opportunities like Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and create more value for investors in Japan and globally.
KeyHub Capital is a unique private equity fund management company specializing in investments in the Asia-Pacific real estate market and other high-entry markets globally. They excel in adding strategic value to real estate projects that have not fully realized their opportunities through redesign and repositioning. KeyHub Capital's investment portfolio spans across different categories of real estate such as residential development, office buildings, malls, serviced apartments, hotels, logistics warehouses, and Internet data centers (IDC).
