Hong Kong Buildings Department: In November 2024, a total of 9 sets of building plans and 17 occupation permits were issued.

On January 16, according to a press release from the Hong Kong Housing Department, a total of nine sets of building plans were approved in November, including two on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon, and four in the New Territories. The approved plans include two residential and mixed-use developments, four commercial developments, and three community service developments. The Housing Department also issued 17 occupancy permits, including two on Hong Kong Island, seven in Kowloon, and eight in the New Territories. The total value of new completed buildings in November was approximately HK$11.9 billion. Six construction projects were approved to start work, which will provide a total of 18,938 square meters of residential floor area with 363 units, and 52,301 square meters of non-residential floor area. In addition, the department also received a notice to start construction on an overlying project for a building. The total residential floor area approved for construction is 238,110 square meters with a total of 4,141 units, while the non-residential floor area is 53,441 square meters. Additionally, the department approved four demolition projects. In November, the department received 2,446 reports of unauthorized building works and issued 517 removal orders for unauthorized building works.
