Air China Limited (00753) announced that in December 2024, the group's passenger traffic volume (measured in revenue passenger kilometers) increased year-on-year. Passenger capacity input (measured in available seat kilometers) increased by 10.7%, while passenger traffic volume increased by 14.1%. Within this, domestic passenger capacity input increased by 2.7%, and passenger traffic volume increased by 5.0%; international passenger capacity input increased by 33.0%, and passenger traffic volume increased by 41.9%; regional passenger capacity input increased by 11.5%, and passenger traffic volume increased by 16.3%. The average passenger load factor was 77.7%, an increase of 2.3 percentage points year-on-year. Specifically, domestic routes saw an increase of 1.8 percentage points, international routes increased by 4.6 percentage points, and regional routes increased by 3.0 percentage points. In terms of cargo, cargo capacity input (measured in available ton kilometers) increased by 19.1% year-on-year, while cargo traffic volume (measured in revenue ton kilometers) increased by 17.6%. The cargo load factor was 36.5%, a decrease of 0.5 percentage points year-on-year. Starting on December 13, 2024, the company added the Urumqi-Tbilisi route (three flights per week); starting on December 28, 2024, the company added the Beijing Capital-Xi'an-Minsk route (one flight per week). In December 2024, the group introduced a total of 1 ARJ21-700 aircraft, 1 C919 aircraft, 2 737 series aircraft, and retired 1 A330 series aircraft. As of the end of December 2024, the group operated a total of 930 aircraft, with 406 owned aircraft, 228 financed lease aircraft, and 296 operating lease aircraft.
