BOC AVIATION (02588) released its operating transaction status for the fourth quarter and full year ending December 31, 2024. In the fourth quarter of 2024, 77 transactions were executed, with a total of 260 transactions executed throughout the year, including:
Committed to purchasing 14 aircraft in the fourth quarter, and a total of 47 aircraft for the year
Committed to purchasing 4 engines in the fourth quarter, with a total of 10 owned engines by the end of the year
Completed delivery of 13 aircraft in the fourth quarter, and 38 aircraft for the full year
Sold 8 owned aircraft in the fourth quarter, and 29 owned aircraft for the full year
Signed 28 lease commitments in the fourth quarter, and a total of 118 lease commitments for the year
As of the end of the year on December 31, 2024, the utilization rate of owned aircraft remained above 99%, with total financing exceeding $5 billion for the year.
It is reported that the asset portfolio includes a total of 709 owned, managed, and ordered aircraft and engines; with an average age of 5.0 years and an average remaining lease term of 7.9 years for the 435 owned aircraft; the managed fleet consists of 32 aircraft; and the order book includes 232 aircraft. The owned and managed fleet serves 92 airline customers in 48 countries and regions.
CEO and Managing Director Steven Townend stated, "In 2024, we continue to focus on long-term sustainable growth, with commitments to purchase an additional 47 aircraft providing valuable reserves for future revenue growth. Despite challenges in the supply chain, we successfully delivered 38 aircraft and expanded our owned fleet to 435 aircraft, reaching a new high even after selling 29 owned aircraft. Our collection rate has exceeded 100% for three consecutive years, and aircraft utilization remains above 99%. It is worth noting that all our aircraft were leased by the end of the year."
