Zijin Mining Group (02899) issued an announcement that the company convened the 8th Board of Directors' 1st Interim Meeting of 2025 via communication voting on January 8, 2025. The meeting unanimously approved the proposal to donate 30 million RMB to the earthquake-stricken area in Shigatse, Tibet. The details are as follows: At 9:00 on January 7 Beijing time, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County in Shigatse, Tibet, causing significant casualties and damage with many houses collapsing. The disaster area is located in a high-altitude and cold region on the plateau, currently in winter, and the affected population is in urgent need of assistance. In order to assist the disaster area, fulfill their social responsibility, the Board of Directors agreed for the company and its subsidiaries in the Tibet region to collectively donate 30 million RMB in cash to the earthquake-stricken area. The funds will be used for emergency relief, assistance for the affected population, support for rescue teams, and post-disaster reconstruction efforts. Of the total donation, the company headquarters will donate 10 million RMB, Zijin Copper Tibet Co., Ltd. (Zijin Copper Mine) will donate 10 million RMB, Juno Copper Mining Co., Ltd. (Juno Copper Mine) will donate 5 million RMB, and Raggou Lithium Resource Co., Ltd. (Raggou Salt Lake Lithium Mine) will donate 5 million RMB. In addition, Zijin Copper Mine and Juno Copper Mine mobilized earthquake relief teams immediately after the earthquake, equipped with command vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, rescue vehicles, as well as rescue equipment, and headed to the disaster area. The first group of rescue personnel arrived on the scene on the evening of January 7. Furthermore, the subsidiaries urgently purchased much-needed relief supplies for the disaster area, including 1300 coats, 1000 beds of blankets, 500 beds of mattresses, 400 tents, as well as items such as blankets, cotton shoes, bread, drinking water, and other essential items for warmth and daily necessities, which arrived in the early hours of January 8. The company and its subsidiaries in the Tibet region will actively participate in rescue efforts under the unified deployment of the local rescue command center, and continue to organize and deploy materials and personnel according to the actual needs of the disaster area, fully support the earthquake relief work in Dingri County, and join hands with the people in the disaster area to overcome difficulties together.
