According to the latest survey by TrendForce, the overall server output value in 2024 is estimated to reach around 306 billion US dollars, with the growth momentum of AI servers surpassing that of general servers, with an output value of around 205 billion US dollars. As the demand for AI servers continues to grow in 2025, and with a high average selling price (ASP), the output value has the opportunity to increase to nearly 298 billion US dollars, further increasing the proportion of the overall server output value to over 70%. Both Chinese and American CSPs and Server OEM customers have strengthened their demand for the Hopper series models, which in turn will drive a 46% year-on-year increase in total shipments of AI servers in 2024. Looking ahead to 2025, TrendForce estimates that the annual shipment volume of AI servers will increase by nearly 28%, further growing to over 15% of the total server shipments. As for the performance of major AI chip suppliers, the new Blackwell platform is expected to become the mainstream high-end GPU for NVIDIA in 2025, while the GB Rack series still requires time to prepare the supply chain due to its complex design verification. In addition, it is estimated that NVIDIA will launch B300 and GB300 solutions in the third quarter of 2025, further boosting the shipment momentum of devices equipped with Blackwell, such as HGX and GB Rack. In addition to NVIDIA, the increasing efforts of large CSPs in developing their own ASICs is also worth noting. While Google was the main contributor to shipments in 2024, AWS showed stronger growth, with an annual growth rate exceeding 200%. It is expected that AWS shipments will grow by more than 70% in 2025, with a focus on developing the Trainium chip for AI applications in their public cloud infrastructure and e-commerce platform.
