STRONG PETRO (00852) announced that on December 20, 2024, the company was informed by Yao Guoliang that he had submitted another affidavit in relation to a legal case in Hong Kong (HCMP 2442/2024). The announcement included the following supplementary information provided by Yao Guoliang:
1. In addition to the incident where Yao Guoliang was unlawfully removed from his directorship at FWI, a former manager of the company forged Yao Guoliang's signature. It is alleged that this former manager was actually the personal assistant of Wang Jiansheng at a crucial time. The forging of Yao Guoliang's signature relates to documents concerning the only bank account of FWI.
2. Yao Guoliang has reported the incident to the police and an investigation is currently underway with the former employee and Wang Jiansheng as suspects. Yao Guoliang will take all legal measures to protect his lawful rights at FWI.
3. Yao Guoliang is unable to access or use the bank account (the only bank account known to Yao Guoliang at FWI) and has instructed his lawyer to request copies of all documents containing his signature from the relevant bank.
4. Following the forgery incident, Wang Jiansheng and his son Wang Peng are the only two individuals known to Yao Guoliang who are able to access and use the bank account.
