Influenced by the strong demand for sports and health consumption, the smartwatch and smart wristband market have shown significant growth in the past year. This demand will continue to grow as residents' demand for quality of life and experience increases. IDC predicts that the shipment volume of China's wrist-worn market will reach 62.48 million units in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%.
Pan Xuefei, research director of IDC China, believes that the wrist-worn market is driven by the launch of new products by top manufacturers, leading to a rebound in the share of mid-to-high-end price segments. However, as various manufacturers gradually segment their product lines to cover a wider audience, this has become a recent trend. The current market is mainly driven by price and distribution channels, and further improvement in product performance is needed through new technological innovations. With the advantage of fitting the hand, wrist-worn devices may have more exploration opportunities and development space in AI multimodal interaction in the future.
