Ningbo Solartron Technology (688299.SH) announced that it has recently signed a Technology Development Contract with the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences ("Physic Institute") to jointly participate in the development of solid-state battery composite films. The research and development expenses and rewards for this project amount to 4 million yuan, with research and development expenses totaling 4 million yuan. The contract is effective from November 15, 2024, to December 30, 2026.
After the completion of this technology development project, the progress of future commercial applications will be subject to factors such as resource allocation, government policies, and market demand, which may bring certain uncertainties regarding the expected benefits to the company. Investors should be aware of investment risks. The company has already obtained small-scale orders from leading customers in the industry for wet-process separators for solid-state or semi-solid-state batteries, as well as bulk orders from mid-level customers. However, due to the fact that market demand has not surged, the revenue amount is relatively small and is not expected to have a significant impact on the company's operational performance in the short term. Investors are advised to be cautious of investment risks.
