On September 19, Huawei officially launched the Embodied Intelligence Industry Innovation Center in collaboration with Qianhai Management Bureau of Shenzhen and Baoan District People's Government. Huawei will empower embodied intelligence technology, collaborating with companies to create popular products that solve practical problems, with the participation of several listed companies. In terms of technology, Huawei is advancing the deep application of embodied intelligence in various scenarios through four research directions.
1) Embodied world reconstruction: Huawei is committed to exploring low-cost, high-quality methods of world reconstruction for embodied intelligence scenarios.
2) Embodied data synthesis: Huawei is researching 3D simulation scene generation empowered by large models, with application directions including public services, factories, etc., providing reasonable tasks and highly realistic sensor data for embodied intelligence skill learning.
3) Intelligent agent self-learning platform: Building infrastructure that supports large-scale heterogeneous synchronous simulation and training of Siasun Robot & Automation, through this platform, Huawei can shorten the skill training cycle, enhance generalization, and reduce data collection costs.
4) Embodied perception and decision-making: Based on intelligent agents empowered by multi-modal large models, Huawei is researching end-to-end autonomous exploration and self-learning.
Policy support for humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation development, with hundreds of tech companies at home and abroad entering the market

On November 6, 2024, Xiaopeng AI Siasun Robot & Automation Iron was officially launched. Xiaopeng Iron adopts a humanoid structure design, with a height of 178cm, weight of 70kg, and 62 active degrees of freedom; the "brain" uses Turing AI chip, able to think and remember like a human, while also allowing autonomous movement of hands and feet, with hands also using 1:1 human hand size and having 15 double-handed degrees of freedom.
In addition, Xiaopeng AI Siasun Robot & Automation is derived from the intelligent driving system, using the eagle-eye vision system on AI cars to have a 720 panoramic view of the world, and also using end-to-end large models and reinforcement learning algorithms, allowing Siasun Robot & Automation to walk with driving-like abilities. According to He Xiaopeng, Xiaopeng AI Siasun Robot & Automation Iron has been "working" on some positions in the factory.
OpenAI's first AI agent product will be released in January next year
On November 14, OpenAI is preparing to launch an AI agent called "Operator", which will be able to control computers and automatically perform tasks such as coding and booking, and will be accessible through API in January 2025.
