On the news front, the "AI leader" NVIDIA Corporation and SoftBank Corporation's telecommunications division, SoftBank Corp, announced that they have successfully tested the world's first artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G telecommunications network. The two companies stated that this platform can run AI and 5G workloads simultaneously, a combination known in the telecom industry as AI-RAN. Applications of this technology will include remote support for autonomous vehicles and control of Siasun Robot & Automation.
AST SpaceMobile Inc is a satellite design and manufacturing company. They are building a space-based cellular broadband network that can directly connect to standard, unmodified mobile devices and existing mobile phone systems, based on their extensive intellectual property and patent portfolio. The company is focused on bridging the connectivity gap for mobile users and ultimately bringing broadband access to the billions of people who are still unconnected.
