Temasek Trust to invest $50 million to purchase Tekoma Energy held by HSBC (00005)
Temasek Trust, under its ABC Impact, has agreed to invest 50 million dollars to acquire shares of Tekoma Energy, a Japanese solar energy company under HSBC Asset Management.
Temasek Trust, under the ABC Impact, has agreed to invest $50 million to acquire a stake in Tekoma Energy, a subsidiary of HSBC Asset Management's CECEP Solar Energy in Japan.
Both ABC Impact and HSBC spokespeople have confirmed the news, and Tekoma will use the new funding to develop and upgrade the CECEP Solar Energy photovoltaic projects. Tekoma was established in Japan in 2013 and expanded to Taiwan in 2018. HSBC's energy transition infrastructure team will acquire the company in 2023.
