From January to September, the total import and export value of automotive goods nationwide reached 226.82 billion US dollars, an increase of 7.9% year-on-year. Of this, the import amount was 53.17 billion US dollars, a decrease of 5.3% year-on-year; the export amount was 173.65 billion US dollars, an increase of 12.8% year-on-year. There were 55,000 whole vehicle imports, a decrease of 27.1% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 20.3% year-on-year; the import amount was 32.1 billion US dollars, a decrease of 24.8% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 8.9% year-on-year. From January to September, 534,000 whole vehicles were imported, a decrease of 4.1% year-on-year; the import amount was 304.5 billion US dollars, a decrease of 9.4% year-on-year. According to the data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the General Administration of Customs data shows that in September 2024, the export of whole vehicles was 609,000 vehicles, a decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous month and an increase of 22.7% year-on-year; the export amount reached 115.5 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous month and an increase of 25.7% year-on-year. From January to September, 4.7 million whole vehicles were exported, an increase of 26.6% year-on-year; the export amount reached 876.3 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.7% year-on-year.
