Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu stated that the 75th National Day is highly valued, and there will be a large number of celebrations and various discounts during the National Day Golden Week. It is expected that the Golden Week will attract a large number of tourists to Hong Kong, with an estimated 1.15 million to 1.2 million mainland visitors, an increase of about 20% compared to the same period last year. The number of tour groups is expected to increase by 10%, with about 850 groups, most of which will stay in Hong Kong for one night. John Lee Ka-chiu mentioned that according to estimates from the catering industry, the National Day Golden Week will bring about HK$280 million in revenue, and hopes that everyone can celebrate together and increase profits through commercial activities. During the National Day period, a large number of tourists are expected to visit Hong Kong, especially during the Golden Week and National Day. The fireworks display on National Day night is expected to attract a large number of tourists. The Hong Kong SAR government is highly concerned and well prepared for this. Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong, Matthew Cheung, has coordinated various aspects of work for the large-scale event, and the group has begun meetings with different departments, including law enforcement agencies, to ensure smooth operation at border checkpoints and the market, hoping to provide a pleasant experience for tourists.
