According to reports, a senior executive at SpaceX said that the company recently reached an agreement with United Airlines (UAL.US) to provide free internet connection for all flight passengers, with the backlog of Starlink Wi-Fi orders nearly doubling. Under the agreement, United Airlines will provide in-flight connectivity services on all its aircraft in the coming years, with testing set to begin early next year. This is also Starlink's largest air connectivity agreement. Nick Galano, Starlink's Sales and Partnerships Director, said at the World Space Business Week conference in Paris: "We now have contracts for about 2,500 aircraft, and we are very excited about this. This will bring a growing experience for this startup company and resonate with passengers and airlines worldwide." It is understood that SpaceX has started providing in-flight Wi-Fi services for Hawaiian Airlines (HA.US), Qatar Airways, Zipair Tokyo, airBaltic in Latvia, and semi-private airline JSX. Galano said that the Starlink satellite constellation's capacity could be "more than 100 times that of all traditional systems," with the current capacity exceeding 300 terabits per second. Currently, approximately 6,400 Starlink satellites are in orbit, serving over 3 million customers. SpaceX is also showing no signs of slowing down, launching a rocket carrying new satellites approximately every three days this year.
