COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation (600026.SH) announced that its indirectly held subsidiaries, Yuxing LNG Transportation Co., Ltd. and Yuanzhi LNG Transportation Co., Ltd., have signed shipbuilding contracts with the seller for the construction of two LNG transport ships.
According to the shipbuilding contracts, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. and China Ship Trade Company (as the seller) have agreed collectively and individually to design, build, launch, assemble, and complete the ships, and then sell and deliver them to the buyer in accordance with the contract. The buyer agrees to purchase and accept delivery of the ships as per the terms of the contract. Each ship has a cargo capacity of 175,000 cubic meters and a design draught capacity of approximately 81,300 tons. The contract price for each ship is approximately RMB 1.73 billion, with a total price of approximately RMB 3.46 billion for the two ships.
