On August 30, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange released data showing that in July 2024, China's international trade in goods and services reached a scale of 4.2352 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Among them, the export of goods was 2.0354 trillion yuan, imports were 1.6039 trillion yuan, resulting in a surplus of 431.6 billion yuan; the export of services was 228.8 billion yuan, imports were 367.1 billion yuan, resulting in a deficit of 138.2 billion yuan. The main items in service trade were: travel services with a total trade volume of 178.9 billion yuan, transportation services with 165.4 billion yuan, other commercial services with 102.1 billion yuan, and telecom, computer, and information services with 64.8 billion yuan.
In terms of US dollars, in July 2024, China's international trade in goods and services had exports of 317.5 billion US dollars, imports of 276.4 billion US dollars, resulting in a surplus of 41.1 billion US dollars.
