U.S. Stocks in Motion | Nvidia (NVDA.US) Rises Over 6% on Plans for "Old Building Renovation" Data Center With 1 Gigawatt Capacity
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on Friday, Nvidia (NVDA.US) rose more than 6% to $193.72. On the news front, according to reports, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said that Nvidia has approached private equity giant Apollo Global Management, planning to rely on the existing buildings of a struggling telecommunications company to build a distributed network of small AI data centers across as many as 20 U.S. states. The results of Tuesday's gubernatorial elections this week have put new data center construction plans in several states at risk of potential moratoriums, and retrofitting existing buildings is expected to help Nvidia and its customers avoid some upcoming regulatory restrictions.
