After the AI stock selloff, Anthropic IPO valuation expectation is lowered to $1.2 trillion to $1.3 trillion.
On November 6, it was reported that, affected by the sharp decline in U.S. technology stocks, investors have further lowered their valuation expectations for the upcoming initial public offering of AI company Anthropic. The valuation range currently discussed by some potential investors is $1.2 trillion to $1.3 trillion, lower than the previously expected $1.4 trillion to $1.5 trillion. Earlier, potential investors in Anthropic had discussed in early October a valuation of up to $2 trillion. Factors such as intensified market volatility, the selloff in AI stocks, and the possibility of stricter regulation of data center expansion following the U.S. Democratic Party's election victory have all put pressure on the company's IPO prospects. The report noted that Anthropic may adopt a relatively conservative initial offering size and valuation, make adjustments based on investor response, and may also postpone its listing plan.
