About 200 Chinese and European medical institutions and enterprises participated. Ling Ji stated that this matchmaking conference is a practical measure to implement the outcomes and consensus reached at the second regular meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism held in October this year and to promote upward balance in China-EU trade. China and the EU have mutual demand and complementary advantages in the field of medical equipment procurement, and there are promising prospects for strengthening cooperation. China has always been committed to creating a world-class business environment for government procurement and continuously improving market access for European enterprises in China. It is hoped that the EU side will meet China halfway and ensure that Chinese enterprises can participate equally in the EU government procurement market. The EU side expressed appreciation and gratitude to China for hosting this matchmaking conference and looked forward to full negotiations and deals between enterprises of both sides. EU enterprises are optimistic about the potential of China's healthcare market and hope that China will continue to keep its public procurement market open and transparent.
