Toyota Motor to set up robotics division in reorganization

Toyota Motor will establish a robotics department in a company-wide reorganization. Toyota will position its robotics business as a key pillar of future business; the department will be led by Chief Production Officer Takeshi Shiga. The company will abolish the Carbon Neutral Engineering Development Center and the Frontier Research Center, and merge their related functions into other business areas.
