Shanghai traffic police proactively contacted Taiwan actor Ming Dao to return his lost item; Taiwan Affairs Office responds.

The State Council Taiwan Affairs Office held a regular press conference. A reporter asked: Recently, Taiwanese actor Ming Dao and his team lost a handbag in Shanghai, and the local traffic police took the initiative to contact them and return it. Ming Dao sent a banner to the Shanghai traffic police to express his gratitude, and said, "Only our China can do this. It shows that our public security is good and nothing was lost," which received widespread praise from netizens on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. What is your comment on this? Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said: "I have also seen the relevant reports. It is indeed very warm and touching." Zhu Fenglian pointed out that returning found property to its owner is a traditional virtue of ours and is also a normal part of our life today. The mainland is one of the safest regions in the world, and our Taiwanese compatriots who work and live on the mainland have personally experienced a sense of security and happiness. We warmly welcome more Taiwanese compatriots, especially young friends, to come to the mainland to "unbox" various experiences and learn on the ground about the mainland's myriad sights and vigorous vitality.
