Juan Esteban Musalem, president of the Chile-China Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, said in a recent exclusive interview with reporters that the China International Import Expo not only provides an important platform for Chilean companies to explore the Chinese market, but also creates opportunities for companies to understand the direction of China's economic development and expand long-term cooperation. Musalem said that China has remained Chile's largest trading partner since 2009. For this reason, many Chilean companies have actively participated since the CIIE was first held, hoping to use this platform to further penetrate the Chinese market. He said that a major feature of the CIIE is that it is specifically oriented toward imports, providing a centralized matchmaking platform for global suppliers and Chinese buyers.
