Yifan Biopharmaceutical: Nomelcitinib Phase III clinical trial for psoriasis meets primary endpoint
Yifan Biologics announced that its self-developed novel oral selective inhibitor targeting TYK2 JH2, nomelcitinib, has met the primary endpoint and key secondary endpoints in its registrational Phase III clinical study for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The study enrolled a total of 391 patients. At Week 16 of treatment, the proportion of patients achieving PASI 90 in both nomelcitinib treatment groups exceeded 70%, and the proportion achieving PGA 0/1 exceeded 80%, both significantly higher than the placebo group, with a favorable safety profile. Currently, a head-to-head Phase III clinical trial of the product against deucravacitinib and Phase II clinical trials across multiple indications are underway. The results of this clinical trial will not have a material impact on the company's performance, and there are uncertainties inherent in new drug development.
