Global Automotive Elite Organization Chairman Wang Dazong: Chinese Auto Companies Going Global Face Two Common Pain Points
At the 2026 Global Chinese Automotive Elites Joint Annual Conference and the "China Embracing the World" International Automotive Industry Development Forum held on October 2930, Wang Dazong, Chairman of the Global Automotive Elites Organization and Chairman of the US-China Automotive Exchange Association, stated that in recent years China's automotive industry has achieved leapfrog development in the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle fields, with complete vehicle exports doubling within three years, growth exceeding 60% in the first three quarters of 2026, and full-year exports expected to break the ten-million-unit mark. However, there are currently two major common pain points in going global: first, fragmented brand layouts and inconsistent naming systems at home and abroad, which exacerbate overseas consumers' cognitive confusion and concerns about brand continuity; second, the lagging construction of after-sales service systems, insufficient spare parts supply, and inadequate terminal repair capabilities, with long waiting periods for users to get their vehicles repaired, which is gradually eroding the cost-effectiveness advantage on the product side. Wang Dazong called on Chinese automotive talent at home and abroad to fully leverage their dual-market insight, engage in candid exchanges of frontline experience and practical problems, bridge the cognitive gap between home and abroad, and help Chinese automobiles establish a solid foothold in the global market.
