Fitch revises France's rating outlook to negative, affirms 'A+' long-term issuer default rating.
On October 30 local time, Fitch Ratings revised the outlook on France's Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating to "Negative" from "Stable," while affirming the rating at "A+." Fitch said that slowing economic growth, rising financing costs and a widening fiscal deficit have led to a further deterioration in debt dynamics; persistent political fragmentation and a complex social environment have also increased the difficulty of implementing long-term fiscal consolidation.
