Tesla (TSLA.US) Semi truck finally ramps up after nine years of "broken promises": factory landing is only the starting point, the delivery test has just begun.
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that the Tesla (TSLA.US) Semi truck, which debuted nine years ago as a "concept vehicle," has finally entered the production ramp-up phase. Its dedicated factory in Sparks, Nevada, officially began production in September, with a designed annual capacity of 50,000 units. An order book of 2,500 units from the ZET SCALE alliance, 500 units from Einride, 370 units from WattEV, and 50 units from IMC Logistics provides initial demand support for the production ramp-up. However, analysts' forecast for full-year 2026 deliveries is only 5,000 to 15,000 units, less than one-third of the designed capacity. A valuation battle between "capacity promises" and "delivery fulfillment" has thus begun.
