MOFCOM Spokesperson Answers Questions on the U.S. Adding Chinese Companies to the So-Called Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 29, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce answered reporters' questions regarding the United States adding Chinese companies to the so-called Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act entity list. The spokesperson stated that forced labor does not exist in China, that people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang enjoy free and equal employment, and that their labor rights and interests are effectively protected in accordance with the law. The relevant U.S. measures have no factual basis; the United States continues to manipulate the "human rights" issue and, under the pretext of "human rights," practices unilateral protectionism and bullying. China strongly condemns and firmly opposes this.
