Toyota Motor's global sales in September fell 2.9% year-on-year.

On October 29, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that its global production for September 2026, including subsidiary Daihatsu Motor, was 989,168 units, down 4.5% year-on-year, marking the third consecutive month of year-on-year decline; global sales were 921,847 units, down 2.9% year-on-year, marking the eighth consecutive month of year-on-year decline. From April to September 2026, the company's global production was 5,476,448 units, down 2.2% year-on-year, the first year-on-year decline in two years; global sales were 5,381,058 units, down 4.6% year-on-year, the first year-on-year decline in two years. Toyota Motor Corporation noted that Hino Motors' production and sales data are disclosed through the end of March 2026, and that from April 2026 onward, the group's combined production and sales data represent the sum of Toyota Motor Corporation and Daihatsu Motor, excluding Hino Motors.
