Meta Platforms (META.O) said it plans to raise capital through a stock offering to support investments in artificial intelligence, with the financing size slightly increased from $95 billion to $97.5 billion. In announcing the pricing arrangements for the stock offering on Tuesday, Meta said it raised the size of its common stock offering from $22.5 billion to $25 billion. Under the plan first announced on Monday, Meta also intends to issue approximately $12.5 billion in Class A depositary shares and raise up to $60 billion through an "at-the-market" program. Tuesday's announcement also showed that Meta has granted the underwriters of the common stock and depositary share offerings an option to purchase up to an additional approximately $5.5 billion in shares; this means Meta's final total fundraising could reach up to approximately $103 billion.
