Sigmaintell: LiDAR prices plummet from $80,000 to $200; Chinese manufacturers dominate 95% of the global market
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that CINNO Research stated in an article that, according to the analysis in the "Global LiDAR Market In-Depth Research Report,"
LiDAR scanning architectures have undergone a clear generational evolution. Mechanical rotating scanning offers high precision, but is bulky, costly, and has poor reliability, and now mainly retreats to Robotaxi and early testing applications; semi-solid-state solutions (MEMS micromirror, rotating mirror) strike a balance among performance, cost, and reliability, becoming the mainstream choice for current L2+ mass-production vehicle models; all-solid-state solutions (OPA, Flash) completely eliminate moving parts and combine the advantages of miniaturization, high reliability, and low cost, and are regarded as the industry's endgame form. At present, the cost of rotating-mirror semi-solid-state solutions continues to decline and mass production deployment is accelerating, and the industry is in a critical stage of scaling up.
