Guangzhou coffee shop revenue grew 10.6%

On October 26, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Statistics released the economic performance of Guangzhou for the first three quarters of 2026. The reporter learned that new consumption formats are thriving in Guangzhou, with the share of online retail sales in total retail sales of consumer goods rising to 33.6%. Guangzhou cuisine has become synonymous with the city's vibrant street life, with citywide catering revenue growing 5.3%, of which revenue at designated-size full-service restaurants rose 11.6%. Leisure consumption such as new-style tea drinks and specialty coffee is developing rapidly, with coffee shop revenue up 10.6%.
