Mercuria formally files lawsuit against the Baltic Exchange

One of the world's largest commodity traders, Mercuria, is suing the 282-year-old Baltic Exchange. The UK High Court will begin hearing the case on Monday, with the core dispute centering on whether the Baltic Exchange should continue publishing benchmark tanker freight rates for routes through the Strait of Hormuz after the US-Israel war against Iran broke out this year.
