A U.S. official revealed that Volkswagen Group will build a new plant in Georgia for the Audi brand while expanding its existing facilities in South Carolina. The new plant in Macon will produce Audi Q7, Q8, and Q9 models, with an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles. Trump is expected to officially announce the investment on Saturday, and the U.S. side is still negotiating with Volkswagen to provide tariff relief for automakers expanding domestic production.
