On October 23 local time, CCTV reporters learned that NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said that day that NASA is accelerating the construction of a lunar base and the crewed lunar landing program, striving to return astronauts to the lunar surface within two years. Under the current schedule, the Artemis 3 mission is planned to launch in the summer of 2027, with four astronauts conducting a two-week flight mission in Earth orbit, respectively docking and testing with the lunar landers of SpaceX and Blue Origin. The Artemis 4 mission is still planned for implementation in 2028, at which time it will achieve the first crewed lunar landing since the Apollo program.
