The Tianjin Housing Provident Fund Management Center issued a relevant notice on the 21st, adding withdrawal scenarios for property management fees for self-occupied housing, renovation costs for newly purchased self-occupied housing, and renovation and refurbishment costs for self-occupied housing, further expanding the scope of housing provident fund use to related expenditures during the period of home ownership. According to the new policy, employees and their spouses who hold housing within the administrative region of Tianjin may withdraw housing provident fund once per year before December 31 to pay property management fees, with the total annual withdrawal amount not exceeding 3,000 yuan. For newly purchased self-occupied housing, if housing is purchased within the administrative region of Tianjin and the conditions for withdrawing housing provident fund for home purchase in the city are met, employees and their spouses may, within two years from the delivery date determined in the purchase contract for new housing, or within two years from the date of obtaining property rights for second-hand housing, withdraw housing provident fund once for that housing to pay for renovation costs. The total withdrawal amount shall not exceed 1,500 yuan per square meter multiplied by the floor area of the purchased housing, and shall not exceed 150,000 yuan. In addition, for renovation and refurbishment needs, if the same housing within the administrative region of Tianjin has been held for 10 years and housing provident fund has not been withdrawn in the past year for home purchase payment, down payment, or repayment of housing loan principal and interest, employees and their spouses may withdraw housing provident fund once for that housing for partial repair and renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, doors and windows, walls, etc., to improve living conditions, with the total withdrawal amount not exceeding 30,000 yuan. To safeguard employees' rights and interests, the notice also clarifies arrangements for adjusting the processing deadlines of relevant withdrawal businesses. Among them, if the deadline for withdrawing renovation costs for newly purchased housing falls between September 20, 2026 and December 31, 2026, the withdrawal deadline shall be extended by 6 months; if the 2026 property management fee is not withdrawn before December 31, 2026, the withdrawal deadline shall be extended to June 30, 2027.
